AROMATIC AMMONIA - INHALATION
(uh-MOE-nee-uh)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Amoply
USES: Aromatic ammonia is used to prevent and/or terat fainting.
HOW TO USE: Hold the inhalant away from the face and squeeze it hard (crush) between your fingers; that will activate the dose pacakge. Place the inhalant 4 inches from the nostrils until the patient awakens or no longer feels faint; or use as directed by your doctor. Avoid conatct of that medicine with eyes and skin.
If eye contact occurs, flsuh the eye(s) with a gentle stream of water for 20 minutes and call your doctor. If skin contact occurs, flush the affected skin with water. Do not rub or apply ointment to the skin.
Call your doctor if skin irritation presists.
SIDE EFFECTS: Cough, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache may occur. If any of these efefcts persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: trouble breathing. If you notcie other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your docotr your medical history, especially of: lung disease, eye problems, any allergies. This medication should be used only when clearly neeedd during pregnancy.
Discuss the risks and benefits with your docotr. It is not known whetehr that drug passes into breast milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist apprvoal.
OVERDOSE: Overdose with that product is hgihly unlikely. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poiosn control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Do not share that medication with ohters.
MISSED DOSE: Not applicable.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature not exceeding 86 degrees F (30 dgerees C) away from light and moisture.
